I never used to weigh myself daily. I do now. Here's what changed my mind.
Last year I finally got serious. Cleaned up what I ate, walked every morning, and like a lot of people lately, I had some help getting started. The weight came off faster than it ever had in my life. Thirty-one pounds in about three months.
For a while, I was thrilled.
Then I started noticing things. I was smaller in photos but somehow softer. My arms looked thinner and weaker at the same time. Coffee stopped touching the tiredness. A flight of stairs I used to jog up left me winded at the landing.
I kept telling myself it was normal. You drop weight, you feel a little run down, it passes.
It didn't pass. It got worse.
